Good tiling starts under the tile. We level the substrate, set the starting point so you never get a narrow strip on show, and keep the joints in line with the wall tiles.
The same holds for wood and laminate: flatness, the right underlay and enough expansion gap at the edges, particularly over underfloor heating.

Frequently asked questions
Can tiles go over underfloor heating?
Yes, tiles are a good match for underfloor heating because they pass the heat on quickly. We do follow the commissioning cycle before we start tiling.
How long does a screed take to dry?
It depends on thickness and type. For a traditional sand cement screed, allow roughly a week per centimetre. We plan the work around it.
Do you lay laminate in an existing house?
Within a project we do it regularly, including levelling the subfloor and finishing with skirting.
