Plastering and decorating in Apeldoorn

Walls and ceilings are the first thing anyone notices in a room. We pull them flat and paint the woodwork in the same run.

Every flaw in the substrate comes back the moment raking light hits it. So most of our time goes into what you will never see again: routing out cracks, priming, setting the corners. Only then does the coat go on.

We work inside and out. Inside we skim walls and ceilings smooth or in a textured finish, outside we apply render to the facade, including over insulation.

How a project runs

Every project is different, but our sequence is fixed. That keeps the planning predictable and stops trades waiting on each other.

  1. Introduction and site visit

We come over, walk the job and listen to what you have in mind. We also say honestly what we would advise against.

  2. Plan and quote

You get a plan with the sequence of the work, a realistic duration and a price. No loose ends to argue about later.

  3. Scheduling and purchasing

We reserve a team, buy the building materials through our partners, order the container and give you a list of stores for your own choices.

Frequently asked questions

Can paint or paper go straight onto new plaster?

Not immediately. Fresh plaster has to dry out, which takes anywhere from a few days to a few weeks depending on thickness and ventilation. We schedule the decorating to follow it.

Do you take on painting only?

Within a larger project, certainly. For standalone decorating with no other building work we are usually not the right party, since our projects normally run for several weeks.

What is the difference between a smooth skim and a textured finish?

A smooth skim is flat and crisp and needs a clean substrate. A textured finish has a fine grain that hides small imperfections and stands up better to knocks.
